SolveCon 2025: Youth Voice, Action, and Impact Come Alive in Bangalore

Youngsters congregating at a day-long conclave turned into future change makers by the time they went through the various programmes at the SolveCon 2025, hosted by Reap Benefit, a social enterprise.
Over 300 spirited youth participated the Bangalore Creative Circus where they spent the day collaborating, playing and engaging in civic innovations. From hands-on games to deep reflection and problem-solving, the sixth edition of SolveCon proved that when young people are trusted with real challenges, they respond with courage, creativity, and conviction.
Reap Benefit is a social enterprise that activates young citizens, called Solve Ninjas—to solve local civic and environmental challenges through data, design thinking, and action. With gamified tools, mentorship, and peer collaboration, Reap Benefit is building a generation of problem-solvers from the ground up. A Mela of Action and Awareness
The phone-free day kicked off with a high-energy mela featuring 14 impactful organizations presenting playful, hands-on experiences on climate action, civic participation, social justice, and local governance. Youth engaged in interactive games, simulations, and storytelling that sparked awareness and empathy. Participating organizations included Mercy Mission, Terrum, Jhatkaa, Quest Alliance, Bannada Dara, Avarna, The Maitri Arha Foundation, Defy Project, Selco Foundation, Momentum Shifts, and Dream A Dream.
Stories That Moved the Room: Young Changemaker Talks
At the heart of SolveCon were four powerful voices—Kuppendra S, Aakash Kudla, Aishwarya Selvam, and Shiva Kumar—who turned local challenges into bold action.
● Kuppendra S (Raichur) tackles plastic waste and advocates for migrant workers, even engaging directly with policymakers.
● Aakash Kudla (Mangalore), founder of Avarana, upcycles glass waste into home décor—impacting 50+ homes and saving 860+ kg of waste.
● Aishwarya Selvam (Bangalore) led a massive cleanup drive, uniting students, citizens, and BBMP workers to reclaim public space.
● Shiva Kumar (Bangalore) empowers the LGBTQ+ community through legal aid and inclusive entrepreneurship.
Their stories reminded everyone that the seeds of innovation already exist in young minds—they just need spaces to thrive.
