Now here comes a CCTV network that is Smarter, and can send out real time alerts

Imagine if your relatively “dumb” CCTV that can at present only see, became smart enough to detect any fire and send out an alarm, or was clever enough to spot an altercation or fight in a crowded marketplace and alert the cops, or say noticed a lone woman walking late at night it can send out an alert so that enough protective cover could be provided. Just imagine that your CCTV Camera became all of these and more.
Now such a camera is in the real realms of possibility with Smart AI-driven cameras, driven by software programmes written for them, are within a few months away with an Indian company from Pune, IndoAI Technologies testing out prototypes and ready to roll with its demonstrations.
This innovator in AI technologies has just turned CCTV networks into Smart AI-driven entities that can spot, record, and react – by sending an alert to the concerned individuals in real time. This marriage of old and new technologies, to work out and translate into products the various ideas fleshed out in conversations with diverse groups of users, is what has given rise to a slew of AI Cameras with different capabilities. But some of them are still work in progress.

Already, a team of the Pune-based company is in Bangalore — the electronics, software, knowledge, and AI capital of India — for further developing software to be loaded onto the Cameras it is especially building.
Dr Vivek Gujar, Founder Director – Strategy at Indo AI Technologies, spearheading AI-driven innovations, told Statesman that his team was working with few cutting-edge technology and AI start-ups in Bangalore on “a very large R7D project on computer vision.”
Already, the AI Cameras are in operation in 7-gram panchayats in Maharashtra, 11 schools in MP, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and UP, 6 factories in Ahmednagar and Kolhapur and it has an order pipeline of Rs 20 crore from government sector clients.
Vivek Gujar explained that the Edge AI Camera has the pioneering concept of Appization, which makes it easier than ever for businesses to access, deploy, and customize AI models for a variety of applications, from security and retail to healthcare and industrial automation.
Say it is something like a mobile device with different applications. The company has managed to marry both – the CCTVs with AI and Cutting-edge technologies with the necessary software all loaded into the CCTVs and made them into smart Cameras that can look, see, think, and act. Because these are On Devise AI Models, as they can run directly on the device, reducing dependence on human intervention. Real-Time instant feedback and analysis will be coming straight from the camera, and they offer scalability, and flexibility – as one can expand the AI capabilities as needs grow.
The AI Cameras come with programmes that can deliver real-time analytics and own facial recognition applications. An extensive and useful application would be its fire and smoke detection system, which will not only detect but can send real time alert to the fire stations as well.
Why the company is confident that it can deliver is the fact that it is founded and led by technocrats – Rashmi, Co-founder, and Director, and works out how AI interacts with real-world problems and oversees the development of cutting-edge AI-powered camera mobile App and smart solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and automation. Every product developed is with the end user in mind. Another Co-founder and director, an engineer with a passion for marketing. His strong understanding of technology and often helps in bridging the gap between technical solutions and customer’s needs.
