Senior Citizens Walk for Health Awareness!

As part of its Stay Healthy, Stay Happy Initiative, Diha Clinic organized a Senior Citizens Walk, in association with the Senior Citizen Forum of Nanganallur, and supported by the Federation of Nanganallur Welfare Associations, in Chennai.
The purpose of the event was to raise awareness about the importance of health and wellness in senior citizens, through regular walks. It’s also a way to inspire the neighborhood community to take up walking and exercising.
Over 300 senior citizens, women, and men, participated in the 2 km walk on Sunday, 23rd Feb at 6.30 am, at Nanganallur, Chennai.
V Rama Rao, President – Federation of Senior Citizen Associations of Tamil Nadu, said, “It was good to see hundreds of senior citizens enthusiastically do the morning walk. “Nadanga Nallur”, the walk event, has turned the spotlight on the importance of physical activity for seniors. We urge them to lead an active and healthy life.”
