Global cyber security experts to deliberate on `The Battle for Cyber Supremacy’ in Chennai
Cyber security experts worldwide will congregate at the 27th Annual Cyber Security Conference, which will be held in Chennai on December 5th and 6th, 2024, to deliberate on the theme `The Battle for Cyber Supremacy’.
The global cyber security conference is coming back to India after a gap of six years.
The two-day conference, organized by the Association of Anti-Virus Asia Researchers (AVAR), is being held at the Hotel Feathers, Chennai. It will feature over 50 speakers and over 250 delegates.
According to AVAR, India’s cybersecurity market is projected to reach $10.90 billion by 2029.
The conference is coming back to India owing to the efforts to Indian anti-virus major K7 Computing’s CEO Kesavardhanan J.
The conference will have sessions for researchers on breakthroughs in cyber threat analysis.
AVAR 2024 includes sessions for researchers that will highlight breakthroughs in cyber threat analysis, and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO panel discussions that focus on perspectives from cyber security leaders.
The conference also includes CISO Connect, a workshop for CISOs that enables them to meet the expectations of the board and other enterprise stakeholders.
The summit will also honor exceptional cyber security leaders from the region with the CISO Awards which are presented in 5 categories to recognize impactful contributions across the enterprise spectrum.

With the theme ‘The Battle for Cyber Supremacy,’ this year’s summit will address the most pressing issues in the cyber threat landscape, from generative artificial intelligence (AI) to supply chain vulnerabilities,” said Kesavardhanan.
According to him, by addressing emerging threats and improving digital defenses, we aim to create a safer online environment for all, ensuring that individuals can trust the digital platforms they rely on every day.
The event will host esteemed speakers like Lt. General (Dr.) Rajesh Pant, Former National Cyber Security Coordinator, Government of India and Chairman – Cyber Security Association of India; Mr. Kumar Jayant IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Information Technology and Digital Services Department, Government of Tamil Nadu; Mr. Anujh Tewari, Chief Security Advisor, India & South Asia, Microsoft; Dr. Debabrata Nayak, Director, PwC; and Mr. Igor Kuznetsov, Director, Global Research and Analysis Team, Kaspersky, engaging in thought-provoking discussions and providing actionable insights aimed at shaping strategies that safeguard humanity’s digital future.
