Aiyaiyo! A stunning musical debut!
Samuel Nicholas, the son of renowned music composer Harris Jayaraj, has made his grand entry into the world of music. He has not only skilfully composed and soulfully sung the energetic track ‘Aiyaiyo’, but also starred as the hero in the music video. Released by prominent label Think Music, the song is receiving widespread acclaim from various quarters.
The youthful and exuberant song ‘Aiyaiyo’ captures today’s youth’s joy, celebration, and vibrancy, with its theme revolving around women with diverse characteristics. In this debut track, Samuel Nicholas has stamped his unique mark in music, singing, and acting, presenting himself as a well-rounded talent.
Samuel Nicholas said about the song, “I started my musical journey as a chorus singer in the film ‘Ezham Arivu’. I have also been part of my father’s music concerts as a guitarist and a vocalist. I sang a song for the background score of ‘Dev’ as well. It’s a great pleasure to be introduced as a music composer with the song ‘Aiyaiyo’.”
From the age of four, Samuel Nicholas has been training in music under the curriculum of Trinity College of Music, making his musical journey notable from an early age.
The song ‘Aiyaiyo’ is written by Mohan Raj and Samuel Nicholas, and directed by Sanaa Mariam. The song’s production team includes cinematography by Zayd Tanveer, choreography by Alisha Ajit, costume design by Harshene Ravichandar, art direction by Pradeep Raj, and editing/VFX by Creative Crowd, Shivasundar, and Sai Muthuraman. Sound design was handled by Anand Krishnamoorthi, while the colouring was done by Manoj Hemachandar.
With ‘Aiyaiyo,’ Samuel Nicholas has truly showcased his multifaceted talent, marking a significant milestone in his career.
